Process
The selection process to fill vacancies occurs twice a year to coincide with the N.O.R.D. FTC Recruit Firefighter Training Course.
Successful interview candidates will be asked to provide a current BC Driver's Abstract and Submit to a Federal Criminal Record check. Also, candidates will be asked to undergo a physical examination at our expense prior to participation in the training program.
Upon successful completion of the 42 hour N.O.R.D. Recruit Firefighter course the new Firefighter will join the Fire Department as a member for a probationary period of six months.
A performance review will be conducted at six months to determine membership eligibility.
