Greater Vernon Parks, Recreation and Culture manages parks, trails and recreation for much of the North Okanagan area, including the District of Coldstream.
There are programs for all age groups, from preschool and youth to adults. Programs range from gym classes to swimming, climbing and kayaking, gardening, fencing, karate, outdoor adventure camps, dancing, skateboarding, sailing, dog training, and numerous other activities. The Recreation Complex houses two gymnasiums, an ice arena, a curling rink, an auditorium, a seniors’ centre, an outdoor skating rink in the winter and a skateboard park in the summer as well as the aquatic centre.

Greater Vernon Parks and Recreation maintains several beach parks on Okanagan Lake and Kalamalka Lake that offer excellent swimming opportunities and beach volleyball.
The Performing Arts Centre is a Regional District facility and is operated through an agreement with the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Society. For tickets and other information, call 250‑549‑7469. Also visit the Ticketseller website.
