Garbage Collection
The District does not have a mandatory garbage collection program. Home owners can contact one of several contractors currently operating in Coldstream to obtain curbside collection. Check your Yellow Pages directory under "Garbage Collection".
Alternatively, you may wish to take your waste to the Greater Vernon Recycling and Disposal Facility at 120 Birnie Road, 4 km south of Vernon on Highway 97. Phone 250-545-6410.

Summer Hours of Operation (March 1 - October 31):
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Winter Hours of Operation (November 1 - February 28):
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Saturday : 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Sunday: CLOSED
Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day

Recycling
There is a regional curbside collection system in place for recycling. Clear bags are picked up every two weeks. The $17.30 annual fee for this services is included in your property taxes. Please visit the Regional District Blue Bag Program for details of pick-up times and dates in your area.
